Low latency, high quality stream

Modus allows streaming media content with extremely low latency (~40ms on top of the point to point connection), to allow multiple workstations to view content that is located anywhere, together and in real-time. The stream is bitrate adaptive, which means its quality changes based on available network bandwidth, and it is frame accurate, to allow any frame-related workflow.

Synchronizing distributed workstations

Modus exposes an API for utilizing its distributed MVC pattern. The distributed MVC allows creating views for a collaborative (custom) data model, such that once a change is applied to the data, all its corresponding views are updated (for all the clients). Modus avoids conflicts by pinpointing the modified portion of the data model and applying a lock, this means that multiple attributes in a given data model may be modified simultaneously - without causing conflicts. On the other hand, Modus also allows resolving conflicts with ease on the applicative layer.

Web based framework - deploy on any device

The API top layer is written in javascript and utilizes advanced web features (like webRTC, WebGL, WebSockets, webWorkers, JSASM and many more). This allows rapid development, and an installation-free workflow on any device with a browser.

C/C++ framework for low level integration

In some cases the browser is just not enough. Unsupported file types, permission limitations, limited hardware utilization and many other restrictions the browser poses, make it unsuitable for some usages. Therefore we've rewritten the whole MODUS API in C/C++ to overcome any web-related limitations and to enable low level integrations, where code efficiency plays a critical role.
